The Parichay Resource Kit is meant to serve as a comprehensive educational resource that discusses the rights and safeguards in place that can be availed of by sex workers in India. It features the Parichay Database, a list of pro-bono clinics and residential compounds across major metropolitan Indian cities; the Parichay Factsheets, which discuss the legal and economic conditions of Indian sex workers, along with the details of major organizations that mete out aid in the domain of sex work.Â
The Parichay Resource Kit also includes the Parichay Guide, a five-chapter guide on the health, safety, and social concerns that affect sex workers in India. Chapters also attempt to dispel popular myths of and around sex work in India by painting a realistic portrait of themes such as sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and contraception, work safety, societal stigma and safety risks, families of sex workers, and the issue of sex work being viewed as illegitimate.
